Android only — iOS not planned · APK & AAB on GitHub

What's inside

Everything Telegram gives you — reimagined.

A clean Compose UI, custom themes you actually own, and a built-in AI assistant. No tracking, no ads, no backend of our own.

AI in every chat

Long-press any message to summarise, translate, or draft a reply. Powered by your own Anthropic API key — nothing is sent unless you ask.

End-to-end secret chats

Telegram's encrypted secret chats with self-destruct timers. Notifications stay obfuscated so the lockscreen never leaks the sender or content.

Voice notes & media

Voice recording, sticker packs, animated emoji, GIF picker, photo and video playback — every chat surface rebuilt in Jetpack Compose.

Themes you actually own

Build your own colour palette, save it, share it as a deep link. Custom accent, custom background, custom bubbles — right down to the smallest detail.

Server-side search

Search any public channel or group with one tap. In-chat search highlights matches inline and cycles through results with up/down arrows.

No ads, no telemetry

Zero tracking pixels, zero analytics, zero ad SDKs. Novagram runs no backend — every interaction goes straight from your phone to Telegram or to Anthropic.

How the AI works

Your key. Your call. Nothing in between.

The AI never runs on its own and never phones home through us. You stay in control of every request and every token.

01

Long-press a message

Open the AI actions sheet on any incoming or outgoing message, right inside the conversation.

02

Pick an action

Summarise, translate, or draft a reply. The selected text plus a short prompt is all that's sent.

03

Claude answers

The call goes straight to api.anthropic.com with your own key. The result lands back in the chat.

Legal

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 May 2026 — Effective immediately. We update this page whenever the data-handling behaviour of the app changes; the date above always reflects the live behaviour of the latest release.

Novagram is an Android app developed and maintained by Second Dream (cheipstudio.org) that talks to the Telegram network on your behalf and, optionally, to Anthropic's Claude API on your behalf. This policy explains exactly what data the app touches and where it goes. We've kept it short on purpose — there is very little to say.

1. Who is the data controller

The party legally responsible for the app is Second Dream (Italy). For privacy enquiries write to second.dream.dev@gmail.com.

2. What the app stores on your device

  • Your Telegram session data — TDLib's local database, used to keep you logged in and to cache chats, messages, media, and contacts. Stored in the app's private data directory; never transmitted to us or any third party.
  • Your app preferences — theme, language, archive tab visibility, the “show last seen” toggle, and (optionally) your Anthropic API key. Stored in Android DataStore in the app's private directory.
  • Your draft messages and reply state — same place as preferences. Cleared when you uninstall.

3. What the app sends over the network

3.1 — Telegram

Every interaction you have inside a chat (messages, media, voice notes, group lookups, search) goes through Telegram's servers via TDLib. Telegram, not Novagram, is the data controller for that traffic. Their policy lives at telegram.org/privacy.

3.2 — Anthropic (optional)

If you choose to use the AI features (Summarise, Translate, Draft reply) and you have entered your own Anthropic API key in Settings → AI, the app calls api.anthropic.com directly from your device, using your key as the authorization header. The request payload is the message text you selected plus a short system prompt. Anthropic, not Novagram, is the data processor for that call. Their policy lives at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.

If you never enter an API key, no AI requests are ever made.

3.3 — Nothing else

Novagram does not run any analytics, crash reporters, ad SDKs, fingerprinting libraries, or telemetry of any kind. We do not operate a backend server. We do not see your messages, your contacts, your API key, or your usage patterns.

4. Permissions the app asks for

  • Internet — to talk to Telegram and (optionally) Anthropic.
  • Notifications — to show incoming-message alerts (Android 13+).
  • Microphone — only while you record a voice note. Recording stops the moment you release the button.
  • Read contacts — only if you open the “Find friends on Telegram” tab. Contacts are uploaded to Telegram's servers for matching, never to us.
  • Photos & media — only when you attach a file. Files are sent to Telegram's servers; we don't hold a copy.

5. Your rights

Because Novagram doesn't operate a backend, we hold no personal data about you and there's nothing for us to delete or export. To exercise data rights against Telegram or Anthropic, contact them directly.

If you want to wipe Novagram's local state, uninstall the app or go to Android Settings → Apps → Novagram → Storage → Clear data.

6. Children

Novagram is not directed at children under 13. If you are under the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, please use the official Telegram client instead.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change how data is handled, this page is updated and the “Last updated” date at the top is revised. Continued use of the app after the date constitutes acceptance.
